The Metaverse can be described as a fully immersive virtual reality by which participants are able to experience through the use of augmented reality equipment. Although this sounds like something out of a science fiction film, and it has already garnered differing views, it could be an environment that has some benefit.

Any ideation that prompts users to a world outside of actual reality is in essence a ploy to escape the mundane nuances of this world, and that is something that we all can appreciate at times. This is the very reason we purchase expensive vacations and engross ourselves in time-consuming gaming consoles, yet the idea of virtual reality seems to be too much for some.

Regardless of how we feel, there will be a host of people that partake in this experience that will need to hear about Jesus, and truthfully in some cases may even make evangelism easier. We could potentially witness to people of other languages, cultures, and ethnicities through the Metaverse! And if the virtual reality is anything similar to what is seen in the film ‘Ready Player One’ than we can truly allow our imaginations to be a weapon to bring forth the glory of Jesus Christ… masqueraded as our favorite super heroes or pop culture figures!
